Dr. Saradha Chexal is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. She was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. After graduating cum laude in three years from the University of Florida with degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry, she moved to New York and earned her medical degree from New York Medical College.
She completed her residency at the University of South Florida, where she was awarded the honor of serving as Chief Resident. She next completed a retina fellowship at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA.
Dr. Chexal specializes in the management and surgical treatment of all vitreoretinal diseases. She received additional specialized training in ocular genetics and hereditary eye conditions.
In her free time, Dr. Chexal enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters. She also enjoys playing the violin, hiking, and cooking.
