Though she seemed a bit rushed, I found Dr. Chexal to be pleasant and professional, and she seemed knowledgeable. I have no complaints and would happily see her again.
I am deducting one star for my experience with the office, outside of the exam with Dr. Chexal. First off, the online digital new patient forms could use a bit of a tweak. They were mostly fine, with one irritating exception. The firms required me to enter a DOB 3 or 4 times, and it would not let me simply type directly into the field. It also didn’t offer drop down menus for the month, day, and year. Instead, it popped up a calendar page, starting with the current year and month, and the only way to navigate was to click the back arrow, month by month, all the way back to my DOB. It wouldn’t even let me just hold the arrow down, it required a click for each month. It was not difficult, but tedious and unnecessarily time consuming to click back over 500 times just to enter my DOB (thank goodness I’m not older than my mid-40’s!) once. And then I had to do it several more times. This is just poor design.
Once in the office, I waited for 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. Once everyone who’d been there when I arrived, plus everyone who’d arrived since, had been called back before me, I politely checked with the front desk, just to make sure everything was OK. I assumed that they were perhaps seeing other doctors who were not running so far behind, but since I’ve been forgotten in waiting rooms before, I thought it best to check in, just in case. The receptionist was a bit brusque, and nobody ever offered any sort of apology for running rather behind. I get that doctors offices frequently run behind, but I’d appreciate it if they at least pretended to value their patients’ time.
